My name is Eva Baumann and I am a CORU registered podiatrist.

A Galway native, I studied podiatric medicine in the University of Galway, and since graduating I have earned a wealth of experience in both the private and public sector.

As of 2024, I am studying Graduate Entry Medicine in the University of Limerick. I offer private podiatric home care in Galway and in Limerick City Center.

    Hello

    My Story

I graduated with an honors degree in Podiatric Medicine from the University of Galway in 2023. I spent the last few years working in private podiatry care, where I carried out mostly routine care - nail care, corns and callus. I also have experience in the assessment and diagnosis of lower limb injuries, prescribing orthotics (insoles), exercise programs and shoes to help my patients get back to their pain-free selves.

Immediately after graduating, I volunteered as a podiatrist in Tanzania, offering lifesaving foot care to rural and isolated communities. I gained invaluable experience in wound care and became creative and resourceful in my treatment of patients here.

Since my undergraduate degree, I have further widened my skill set to include the use of class IV laser therapy, dry needling and I regularly attend conferences and other events to continue my professional development.

My experience in the medical industry includes more than just podiatry however, as I have worked as a healthcare assistant in nursing homes, a home carer and I volunteered as a COVID19 tester throughout the pandemic.

Each of these jobs has helped me to become a well-rounded and compassionate healthcare professional. I hope to further extend my knowledge in the field of medicine so that I can continue to provide gold standard care for all my patients
